If you like guns and the outdoors, you’ve probably seen the movie “The Revenent.”

How would you like to own a piece of it?

That’s possible, in a way.

Ron Luckenbill is a gun maker from Emporium in Cameron County. He specializes in flintlocks, something that caught the attention of the people who produced the Revenent. They ordered two guns from him for the movie’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio, to use.

You can learn about the project in his own words and see Luckenbill’s work on his website here.

You can also own a copy of one of those guns. Luckenbill has made a couple of copies.

One will be raffled off at this year’s Antique Firearms and Indian Artifacts Show at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds on Sept. 3.

Details about what all is at the show are available by clicking here.

Luckenbill will also be selling a copy of the movie gun at the annual 18th Century Artisan Show in Lewisburg, Union County. The show is set for Feb. 3-4. Details are here.
