Man fends off bear with his fists

Here in Pennsylvania, Game Commission officers are routinely called to handle wildlife nuisance issues.

That’s usually a raccoon in an attic, a beaver flooding a field, even occasionally a bear in a shopping mall or a deer in a car dealership.

But out west, in California, one man decided to take matters into his own hands — or more specifically, fist — when he met up with a bear that had already eaten some of his chickens, and apparently had eyes for his dog.
