Amazing videos from the outdoors

Today, how about a roundup of videos from around the outdoors?

First, there have probably been more magazine covers and more stories devoted to bear encounters than just about any other topic. That’s because, while rare, they’re always pulse-pounding. From Outdoors Hub, you can see a collection of seven close encounters with bears by clicking here.

You might also want to check out this tale of a man attacked by a mountain lion. He wasn’t hunting; he was working on a pipeline when a cougar tried to make a meal of him. He did this interview shortly after the encounter, so be aware he still bears some scars. But you can see it by clicking here.

Finally, here are two videos for the shooters among us.

Archery today is – or can be – very specialized – with bows decked out with all kinds of gadgets. But one man, Lars Andersen, is taking the sport back to its roots. It’s pretty amazing what he’s learned and what he can do. See him by clicking here.

Finally, what’s the world’s largest revolver look like? Well, suffice to say, it’s not something you’d carry on your hip. A Polish gunmaker, Ryszard Tobys, crafted a replica of a Remington 1859 that’s definitely a whopper. But it actually shoots, too. You can see it in action by clicking here.
